I know I have practically vowed to stay away from Xbox for the moment, but it is still nice to reminiscence about the many hours of enjoyment certain games like Halo have provided over the years. Since Halo 3, the franchise has felt…burned out. At least on the online side of things. Everything felt like a clone of 3 as they attempted to squeeze its success for everything they can. A little light inside shines in hope that Halo 5 will bring it back.
We will have to wait until later in 2015 to know for sure (when the game will be ready for launch). There are new Spartan abilities, better graphics and the obvious chance that this game will only be available on the Xbox One.
Since I still have a pile of games I haven’t even touched yet in my position, it’s best to assume that it is going to be awhile before I invest into the new system. I have also enjoyed my escape from the game world by filling it with friends, traveling, hiking and so much more. I guess I may just have to wait to see what you other games feel about the game before I dive in 🙂

The biggest crutch of Halo is its overtly negative, TeamBeyond Forum
dwelling community that wants nothing more from a Halo 5 game than a Halo 2
with spectator mode. Well the hard reality is that’s not want the rest of
us (the majority) want. We want skill based ranks, we want spectator mode,
we want a nerfed (halo 5) sprint, we want equal starts, we want to control
power weapons on the map and we want arena focussed gameplay like Halo 1, 2
& 3. But we also do want some changes, I mean Halo CE came out THIRTEEN
FUCKING YEARS AGO, we do want some innovation. Ghandi, Formal, Goldenboy,
Ghostayame, Bravo, Ninja all have faith in Halo 5 why cant you? Oh because
the competitive community is supposed to be some bastion of truth and light
in the Halo community? no you’re all just stuck in the past…Halo 5
Guardians is a massive improvement on Halo 4. It’s about give and take,
this community just takes takes and takes.

343i as much as I like what you’re doing to Halo 5, there are some issues
that are glaringly obvious about this game:
1. Ground Pound is only limited to 1 kill.
2. Get rid of clamber – It completely ruins skill jumps.
3. Nerf sprint – You should only be able to sprint when your shields and
health are at 100%.
4. Jumping with smart scope – Make it so that when you scope in while
you’re jumping that the player base jump stays the same so you don’t boost
in midair and so that the player doesn’t get disoriented.
Other than these issues I think Halo 5 could be a great game!
I don’t really like the graphics or the sound effects and I think all the
new stuff that they added isn’t very good and it doesn’t really look next
gen. I think 343 have ruined Halo and I just wish they would release all
the other Halo games for the Xbone cos I don’t want to play anything new
cos Halo 2 was the best game ever and all the other games aren’t as good.

Halo is not ruined, I promise. Almost every successful game has always
evolved different features or different ideas etc. Let’s just go off what
we see and how people act like unintelligent l33t spammers.
1)The title, do you see the title? It actually says, (shit you not) “BETA”
Now a beta gives people to see what they like and what they don’t like.
They don’t always keep what is shown. Most of it can be place holders.
2)What ever is new in a huge game like Halo is brought to the table of
consumers like us. Are first instinct is to judge what we see. Which is
what 343 Industries wants. They want feed back, they want to know how to
please the fans. I’ve personally played halo form the start. I see a lot of
new and different things there adding and I think it looks really good. It
actually look like a lot of fun and balanced. Most Halo fanboys would want
this.
3)Change is for the better it makes a game like Halo better. We had the
classics it’s time to move on have more features and a new style that looks
just as kick ass as this gameplay looks. Over all I’m very happy and
excited for Halo 5 I really want to see how it will turn out, and what they
will add.
I mainly play Halo for the campaign, so I don’t care that much anyway. 343
did an awesome job with Halo 4’s campaign. If you want to play the old
style, just keep playing the MCC. Calm down.
I think I will love this beta… And Halo 5 in general ! I love all
abilities ! But the Smart Scope… No ! Please 343, we play Halo no Call
of, keep the three basic things of the original Halo gameplay please, this
is more difficult without Smart Scope and it’s why we love Halo !

For those that missed it, here is the Multiplayer experience in HALO 5.
What is with this ‘ultra clean, ultra shiny’ graphics style? It’s like they
wanted to make all of the textures as low-res as possible so they just
shoved solid colors on half the surfaces and called it done. I could kinda
understand it with Halo 4 with the Xbox 360 being nearly dead in terms of
its already low graphical potential at the time, but why is it still like
this? Where are the depth, the dirt, and the details? Halo Reach excelled
at those graphical elements and the previous Halo games had a decent
balance of them, but Halo 4 and, at least the beta of Halo 5, are simply
horrifically clean.

realized that this is a copy of COD
Everything else well least that detail … I think 343i has to change that
or would lose the sense of what really is halo
Sprint is still in, and now Halo has ADS. The game looks like a call of
duty titanfall rip off. Halo is officially dead.
I think you should press a certain button which can change from the old
mode to ads
Wait, so does everyone have access to all of these abilities at one time,

I see tons of fanboys complaining about how Halo is “becoming more like
COD”. TBH, I see more Crysis aspects than COD aspects here in Halo 5.
Sliding existed in Crysis long before COD ever had it. Ground pound
reminds me of the air stomp from Crysis. Even mantling/clambering existed
in Crysis before Cod had it. Not to say that Halo ripped off Crysis (and
I’m NOT saying that at all), but I totally see a few aspects that both
games have in common, and these upgrades to Halo intrigue me, for they make
me rethink what Spartans are capable of in-game.

So smart scope is just ADS right? Except you get knocked out of it when
hit. Why would a long time Halo player choose to use it then, if theres not

Ok, just to be clear I love Halo it’s basically my favourite game. But when
I see this gameplay it’s… To much like CoD, like holy shit 343 I thought
you learned from your mistakes from Halo 4. Now don’t say “Ohhh Ignorance”
or “Oh shut up kid Halo needs change.” But, really? This looks just like
Advanced Warfare and AW was in devlopement for 3 years since Mw3, And I’m
not joking play Advanced Warfare for yourself and see if I’m wrong. This is
a bad change I mean like ADS WTF!? I would be fine if they didn’t add that.
The reason why I loved Halo was because it was different from your typical
FPS, it was a different type of multiplayer experience and people loved it!
I just feel deeply betrayed by 343. I’m just gonna play it for it’s
campaign but not multiplayer, Good day.
Just thought of another idea, keep armor abilities but have them as
earnable equipment to use in combat (similar to ordinance drops from Halo
4).

What if sprint was replaced by variable speed? If any of you ever played
Splinter Cell on a console, you’d remember how your movement speed depended
on how far you moved the analog stick (i.e. move the analog stick slightly
forward, and you creep forward; move it all the way forward, and you run).
And when you ran in SC, you didn’t sprint like Usain Bolt. Perhaps this
concept could be applied in-game with Halo, for further balancing purposes.
At first when I saw gameplay of this (not this video), I was worried of how
similar it looked to CoD. After watching the trailer, I was dead wrong and
I love the new additions while the game keeps its roots. This games needs
to compete with the new multiplayer games of today: Destiny, CoD: AW,
Titanfall, ect. The standard for multiplayer is becoming more fast paced
than ever. Halo 1-3 were great but everyone is right when they say it
doesn’t fit todays standards anymore. They are sluggish compared to todays
games and I think of iterations of games like great players in sports.
Comparing Terry Bradshaw to Tom Brady is illogical and down right stupid.
Why? They played in completely different times when the NFL was way
different from one another. They are both great in their respective times
and the same goes with Halo. Instead of comparing all the Halo games, we
should compare the Halo games to games that came out during their times
respectively. All the previous Halos are great and those games will always
be some of the best of their time and always hold a special place in my
heart. But as a loyal Halo fan, I accept change and it is definitely time
to start changing for the better. I welcome this game with open arms and
cant wait to play it December 29th! See you all on the virtual battlefield!

To be fair, 343 have just released the MCC with classic Halo multiplayer,
so you can’t blame them for wanting to do something different
halo has had sprint before, halo has had thruster packs before halo has had
jet packs before, now everyone hast them. it makes it more balanced stopped

The thing about halo is that each halo feels different. Im a true halo fan,
i want to see this game grow and add new things. You other fans out there
who are stuck on halo 2 are just like cod fans. Why would want a game to be
the same game for ten years and no changes with each game? I pepersonally
am a true gamer. immerse my self in whatever game i play. So when i pay
halo i visualize i am a super soilder. If i was to be one i could sprint
really fast jump high take no fall damage be a parcore pro have amazing
strength great aim and so on. So the more they add features to make you
feel more of a spartan the better. I love halo because im a true gamer and
i love that each halo gets better and better. Except when bungie crashed it
with reach. The armor lock was to op.also not everyone had the same
ability. Reach was still good but in my opinion halo reach was the worst
halo they made. I like halo 4 it made halo pop for me. I’ll admit there are
allot of stuff that need fixed but I loved it. I still play it. I like that
it was a change for once. It still had its power weapons on the map but it
also made it where people could get another sword if they wanted to.
Remembering halo 2 when the other team had all the power weapons and thats
all what they used. It was so not fair for your team. Halo 4 broke that.
With this new halo coming out. I’m Really stoked because they are fixing
halo 4but adding more stuff. So quit crying about halo 2 that halo 5 should
be like halo 2. Go play cod then, they make the same game every year. Halo
is not cod and will never be cod. The game has always gotten better and
different each game. I like cod because im agamer but halo has always been
