I know I have practically vowed to stay away from Xbox for the moment, but it is still nice to reminiscence about the many hours of enjoyment certain games like Halo have provided over the years. Since Halo 3, the franchise has felt…burned out. At least on the online side of things. Everything felt like a clone of 3 as they attempted to squeeze its success for everything they can. A little light inside shines in hope that Halo 5 will bring it back.
We will have to wait until later in 2015 to know for sure (when the game will be ready for launch). There are new Spartan abilities, better graphics and the obvious chance that this game will only be available on the Xbox One.
Since I still have a pile of games I haven’t even touched yet in my position, it’s best to assume that it is going to be awhile before I invest into the new system. I have also enjoyed my escape from the game world by filling it with friends, traveling, hiking and so much more. I guess I may just have to wait to see what you other games feel about the game before I dive in 🙂

I’m not liking how it looks 343, make me believe though in that beta. You

This halo game could potentially be one of the best competitive halo games.
The strafing is better because of the thrusters, and there is more options
in the game that players have to out play others, while keeping the game
100% fair and balanced.
The thing is the halo community wants to hang on to the old golden age of
halo CE, 2, and 3, but for halo to succeed with today’s biases (I know
someone that doesn’t like halo because there is no ADS or sprint) then I
think this is the general direction in which 343i should take halo.
as much as I love halo 2, and 3 I think that this change in halo is
necessary. (plus we have MCC if you don’t wanna play “new” halo)

-ADS (Halo should not have ADS)
-The climbing ability

-No more ordnance
-Upgraded Sprint (Would like it better if they got rid of it overall, but
it’s not that bad)

I guess all I have to say is that it looks like fun but it doesn’t look
like Halo. If the ADS is basically an animation for zooming I can’t say
that I mind as it doesn’t really affect the core Halo experience. If Halo
becomes recoil management and ADS combat like other shooters on the market
then i’ll have a problem. When it comes to spartan abilities, if everyone
has all the abilities I don’t really mind too much depending on how it’s
balanced. If it’s a “pick your ability” system then that is straying way
too far from the arena scene of Halo. Although this may seem like a major
change to Halo multiplayer, it is attempting to go back to the core of
arena multiplayer. Halo 4 strayed way too far from it’s roots. I really
hope this game is good, but this has me very worried. If it isn’t done
right, if doesn’t feel right I’m not sure ill like it. Maybe that’s just
me. Glad that there’s a beta though.
Halo: Advanced Warfare
In all honesty this looks like everything Reach should’ve been. They’re
upgrading the game experience but are completely focusing on keeping it
balanced, fair and co-existing well with the usual Halo mechanics. And most
of all making sure it stays fun.
People aren’t seeing the competitive aspect that these new spartan
abilities have. DID YOU SEE THE PRO’S PLAY THIS! The game was decided by
one kill. All of the spartan abilities were used and none of the seamed to
over power one another. Gosh give the game a try before you judge it

be balanced and played by a new generation of player

– Just play with them for a few hours and you’ll get used to it

Here’s what some people NEED to understand.
Aside from what buttons do what on your controller, nothing is going to
change the way YOU play games.
Don’t wanna use the thruster pack? You don’t have to.
Don’t wanna Aim Down Sights? You virtually have no need to, the hipfiring
is still as accurate as ever. (Although, being as big a halo fan as I am, I
was intrigued by the concept.) You can still even shoot people and descope
them.
Don’t wanna use sprint? Good luck keeping up.
Don’t wanna use the ground pound or charge? It’s gonna be pretty fucking
funny seeing how you react to getting smashed with it.
And WHO THE FUCK WOULDN’T WANT A CLAMBER FEATURE? You’re telling me you’re
more please with just barely making a jump and getting killed in the
process? Shut the fuck up, you conceded turd.
It’s sad that, instead of being open minded and welcoming to new changes
and abilities within the games, people would rather shut it out because it
resembles some game that is popular for Halo fans to dislike. And it’s sad
that people will bash something that they haven’t even experienced first
hand because they’re too worried that the added features will be utilized
in beating them because they want to play the game the way they played Halo
2 ten years ago. You want to play a new Halo 2? Well

343 if you read this please consider some of my opinion. Halo is simplistic
game . Shot, melee, grenades. Now i see all these movement. It does make
sense for a spartan suit. But gameplay wise, its not halo. It doesnt look
like halo and cant feel halo anymore. So maybe can you guys just let go of
thruster packs? Sprint already pissed a lot of people, some made peace with
it. But armor abilities. I think there are not armor abilities, but damn
its like you have all these moves added in to thruster pack. Ground pound,
it really not any one wants, the dash melee, and slide. These think are
changing the game too much. Just take those out, its not halo. You guys
added enough. So now i ask please just let it go. And also ingame dialogue
after kills are soooooooooooo unattractive.

Halo 5 is looking amazing so far even though its still a WIP. Too bad I
don’t have an Xbone (Would love a PC release which could be possibly
likely). Love what 343 is doing with Halo 5, I don’t care what the classic
fanboys say. Not only that, I’m saddened to this day that these so called
“Classic Fanboys” love Bungie and yet don’t even give 343 any love at all
and say rude comments like “You suck at game developing, STOP CHANGING

The only thing I want to complain initially is just the clamber ability.
Part of being a skilled Halo player was being able to make skill jumps via
“crouch jumping”. Clambering just kind of ruins that mentality. Other than
that, everything is pretty welcome for the beta.
