Halo: Nightfall introduces a pivotal new character, Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth’s most powerful and secretive military branch. When he and his team are caught in a horrific biological attack, they unravel a plot that draws them to an ancient, hellish artifact, where they will be forced to fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives.
Taking place between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: Nightfall is Locke’s origin story which will lend insight and understanding into the character he becomes in Halo 5: Guardians.

The first (more than a) teaser trailer for the new Halo series. Looks like
they took a totally different route with the plot line, which is fine
because the game is so old we all know it’s story and something fresh is
interesting.
Spoiler: nothing in this trailer is Halo-ish.

Looks like another disappointing, low budget project.
I can honestly say I’m blown away. This looks really, REALLY good.
Question though. What’s the format going to be like? Is it episodes (if so,
how many?) or is it like a movie? I missed that part, sorry. Just curious.

This looks boring. Am I the only one who doesn’t care about the story in
Halo? I just want to move forward and kill the next swarm of enemies or
enjoy multiplayer.
The broken ring might be installation 03. This from halo wiki regarding
installation 03:”…it appears to have a red and cracked surface,
indicating vast deserts and what appears to be volcanic activity…”. This
installation is where spartan 4’s trained and where the composer was found.
If the series is set between the events of halo 4 and halo 5 it is possible
something happened, maybe insurrectionists blew up the ring. If the
composer was here then it could explain why there is an element that
selectively kills humans only.

IF REPORTS THAT THE SPIELBERG TV SERIES WILL FOLLOW ON AFTER THIS ARE TRUE,
HERE’S WHY THAT’S A STUPID IDEA!
Can they not just Have a live action series or movie showing us the
beginning of the story? What’s the point of attracting new comers to a new
TV franchise(on showtime) if they start right in the middle of the
chronology of halo? Seems ridiculous(if they do indeed expect it to be at
GoT’s level, as they are claiming)… Although this isnt related to
Nightfall, i do understand that Nightfall is meant to support the coming
game. I am talking about the REAL halo Tv series coming next year. Is there
anyone else here who agrees with me? Would anyone prefer to see a TV series
version of the books like Fall of reach and first strike? or Contact
harvest? … Also please let me know if you do prefer a series that follows
on from this, and why.
