Bungie will be launching the beta for Destiny on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles July 23rd (for some reason Playstation gets it earlier on July 17th). The game looks like it could be a whole lot of fun. Given, it still looks like another Halo, but at least it’s one with a whole new twist in storyline. The Halo franchise has been a blast to play, so here’s hoping Destiny is just as cool.
Currently, you can only jump on board by pre-ordering the game.
The beta only runs until the 27th, so if you have pre-ordered it, you better get your gameplay in while you have a chance. It’s going to be a mad rush to get in as much playtime as possible. The game doesn’t come out until November 9th.

From the Bungie site: The Beta will be offline for maintenance on the 21st
and 22nd, and will end on July 26th at the end of the day for the PDT
timezone.
Do we need ps+ for the beta? I know we needed it for the alpha and I didn’t
plan on getting ps+ until the game released

I wish Bungie werent being such arrogant cunts with this game. They’re just
like ‘hey look what we have on PS4 guise, its so much better on
PlayStation! 4 The GaymerzzzZ!!’ It will be exactly the same game except
for some items,maps and shit. Marketing a multiplatform game towards one
specific platform is just a way to enflame the console war.

Without a PC version of the game, I find it extremely difficult to give
more than two jackal asses about this game. Exclusive releases like this
are garbage. Why ignore such a massive section of the player base?
If there was a PC version of Destiny announced, it’s very likely that I
would instantly pre-order. But as it stands, I’m spending my money on
other games.

I am 99% sure that Destiny will be a fantastic game, but one thing has me
worried about it. Activision has really ran Call of Duty into the ground,
that’s no secret. Will Destiny be plagued with micro-transactions like CoD
is now? I love to see great games make money, but I don’t want this game
squeeze for every drop of money they can make.

The people saying “Oh how could Bungie betray us?” do realize that Bungie
was a Mac developer for 10 years before Microsoft bought them out, right?
They’re trying to expand, and if giving Playstation users a longer time to
play an unfinished version of a game will allow them to foster a larger
community I don’t see how that’s a problem. The base game is going to be
the same on all four platforms aside from graphical fidelity, and all
console-exclusive/pre-order content will eventually be publicly available
from what I’ve heard.

I looked at the Destiny website and looked at the beta and this is what it
said “The Beta will be offline for scheduled maintenance on July 21 – July
22 and open back up to pre-order participants across all platforms until
11:59pm PDT on July 27.” Does this mean that Xbox will only have 4 days to
play it and for Playstation they get 9 days?(It was actually 11 for
Playstation but I removed the 2 days of maintenance.) If so, why are they
giving Playstation better treatment for the game? Also, see you guys on the
Xbox 360 beta!
Why are xbox fans complaining? You get call of duty dlc a month before us
playstation users and I don’t mind. Either way we all get to play destiny
regardless of which console.

For a first person shooter, this game is pretty damn entertaining!
Everyone with an xbox one i am installing the beta right NOW. I just got a
code in the mail, why did i get it early?
I Played the beta today and i got to say this is just another one of those
games that you have played before it’s gonna be forgotten pretty soon like
titanfall.. i wouldn’t waste money on this game so repetitive and gets
boring after a while again just my opnion hate all you want this is just
like most shooters nothing special don’t see what the hype is about..
Will we get to keep our guardian from the beta when the actual game comes
out? I hope so
After playing for days in the beta, all I can say is, there is no fucking
contest. For me, Destiny conquers all games this year. Seriously, the
replay value is crazy, playing with friends is epic, both campaign and
crucible multiplayer are awesome, and so much more. I haven’t had this much
fun in a long time. The only other game coming out this year that might
have a chance against this is Far Cry 4. Other than that, I’m sorry, but
for me, this game is pretty much my top favorite game of the year.
